Title: Adipurush: A Huge Disappointment
Rating: 1 out of 5 stars
Review:
I was very disappointed after seeing Adipurush. The film had a lot of potential, with a star-studded cast and a huge budget. However, the execution was poor, and the film was ultimately a mess.
The biggest problem with Adipurush is the VFX. The special effects are simply not up to par, and they often look cheesy and fake. This is especially noticeable in the action scenes, which are supposed to be the highlight of the film.
The acting is also a mixed bag. Prabhas is fine as Lord Rama, but Kriti Sanon is wooden and unconvincing as Sita. Saif Ali Khan is the only one who gives a truly memorable performance, but even he is let down by the script.
The story is also problematic. The film tries to update the Ramayana for a modern audience, but it does so in a way that is both ham-fisted and disrespectful. The film also takes some major liberties with the source material, which will no doubt upset fans of the epic.
Overall, Adipurush is a huge disappointment. It is a film with a lot of potential that is ultimately wasted by poor execution. I would not recommend this film to anyone.
