When I read the 5 and 4 star reviews I have to assume they’re bots. They all claim the “visuals are stunning”. The graphics and gameplay remind me of an Xbox one or PS4 game. When the gameplay actually works I think it’s fun. But the game is so incredibly buggy and glitchy. I’m honestly shocked the devs decided to put it out in this state. But that’s how the industry is now. Put out unfinished demo and just fix through patches later. Thank god it was on Xbox gamepass. I wouldn’t recommend to spend the $$ to buy this game to anyone. I’m hoping they eventually fix it because I would like to keep playing. But with the current state there’s no way with a clear conscious I can give it anything other than 1 star. I’ll come back and edit when that time comes

You have to go through a painstaking process of signing up and linking accounts. I miss when you could just play a game. Miserable experience I’ve already deleted the game.

The five star reviews are obviously bots. Don’t know if I’ve read a genuine 4 or 5 star review. That being said I also know the game is receiving negative feedback from real players. The main reason I’m giving this only 3 stars is due to the flying and spaceship travel. In order to takeoff or land on a planet it’s just a menu selection and then loading screen. The only time you’re ever in control of your ship is when you arrive or takeoff from a planet. And even then it doesn’t really give you a sense of exploring the universe. The planets stay in the same place no matter how far or fast you go. The only thing that gives you a sense of movement is when there are other ships or asteroids in the orbit. Also it’s absolutely tedious when exploring planets as you must travel on foot everywhere. Even if you could just get in your shop and fly around the planet it would be enough for me. The graphics and environment are visually stunning and have a very cinematic feel. The combat is enjoyable and love the looting aspect where you can basically take anything and either store it on your ship or take it to an owned home and decorate with it. Very satisfying. Haven’t gotten to outpost building yet this is just my 3rd day playing. I think the biggest issue with the game is how much it was hyped up from developers. Saying it was 25 years in the making. They marketed on the fact it was going to be a vast exploration game but that is very misleading given the spaceship functionality I described earlier. That being said it’s still a game I’m enjoying playing and truly feels “next gen”. But it was free on Xbox game pass. I can’t say I would spend $70 on it right away. I would say it’s a $30-$35 value. I would be more upset if I had spent $70 that’s for sure.

@NFL please for the love of god let another company get a license to make an NFL football game. Madden has been the same exact game for the past decade. 0 innovation. You would think after making the same exact game they would at least iron out all the bugs. What a let down. Every single time

The grappling/submission system is one of the most annoying features I’ve experienced in any sports game and is enough for me to recommend people: never spend your money on this game

The physics and riding mechanics of this game are incredibly frustrating. I do love the potential of customization within the game although the base game options feel very limited. If you want to ride a KTM, Honda, etc. you must purchase the additional packs after you purchase the base game. The career mode is nothing more than consecutive races. I’ve played this franchise since the PS2/original Xbox days and I’m just amazed at how those games are still miles ahead of where the franchise is today. It’s fun for the first few hours but after that it becomes repetitive and lacks depth to keep the player engaged/motivated to continue.

Same exact game as NHL 21 and 22. This time you can change your # at anytime in Be a Pro which I like. The reason it’s 1 star is this game (unlike the past two) freezes so often. You have to hard close the game and lose progression at least once an hour. Honestly I’m so tired of EA sports titles. They don’t even try anymore. I wish other companies would give it a go.

The accessories and player customization is great with tons of features and aspects. The graphics are great. But actual gameplay is broken. About 3-4 times a game the throwing mechanism does not activate and your fielder just does a throwing motion while holding on to the ball. No way to fix it. A free hit for the opponent everytime. Incredibly frustrating and renders the game unplayable at times. The game looks great but that pro quickly diminishes as the game is riddled with bugs and glitches. If you have game pass it’s worth a shot. But I wouldn’t spend money on this game.

First boss is enough to make you uninstall the game. But if you can get past that the game is enjoyable. It can be a bit repetitive and I wish there was more of an open world aspect to it. Main reason I’m giving 3 stars is due to the games cut scenes. I like to watch them in full to grasp the entire story but the game tends to freeze on cut scenes. Especially after boss battles. And if it freezes after you finally defeat a boss you have to restart the game and do the boss fight all over again. Wish it was a little more polished but the potential is there
