Markedly disappointing. The most interesting character was the downstairs neighbor. The other characters were bland and forgettable, especially Lyle himself, while there was no plot development to speak of. They chucked in a montage toward the end which tried to paste the pieces together, but it didn't really work, and I was relieved when the credits rolled.
