this book is my comfort book and i reread it twice over the span of a 4 day trip. it might not feel fully like a rick riordan book because it was co authored, but i like it that way. its a nice break from the other books and it has a different vibe. ive heard people say nicos jokes were a bit cringy but come on, hes barely ever gotten the chance to just be a kid, leave him and his dorky jokes alone. the only thing id say is that somewhere in his fight with nyx he said, and i quote, "my mother is bianca di angelo. she loved me and my sister!" which um... 😭

dont get me wrong i love the odd1sout but ughhh this show irritates me so much. im so happy that james is putting hard work into this and oddballs is something he is passionate about but after watching like 5 episodes ive concluded that the humour in this is so aghhh i wanted to cry. of course, this is meant to be a show for little kids. im not complaining because its not a serious show that explains the meaning of life or whatever. what i mean is that it was so random that it wasnt even funny. reactions were so dramatic that it just sort of became dry. this doesnt even fall under the "tv comedies" category, it was just so so so unfunny. also i really really really really really really really really really hate max.
