Emma Thompson's acting is superb but I'm left wondering why she was so emotionally affected by Adam. Was she in love with him. Its never revealed. She portrays an extremely smart judge and yet she becomes obsessed with this strange boy. Peculiar ending. Offers no logical explanation of her behavior. I rate this 5 on a scale of 10.
