For me, the bulk or essence of video games is in providing a skillful, carefully crafted escape from day to day burdens; entertainment. This game, Battleborn, when the demo came out remarked me. I immediately fell in love with the characters and story, and the unique gameplay mechanic of leveling up during the game (you had two skill trees to choose from) was surprisingly refreshing. As relates to entertainment, it gets an 8/10. Unfortunately, with the full game the story wasn't quite what I was expecting and the villain was the typical angry meany who's bad for no reason. There was a wasted opportunity narratively speaking in that regard. Overall though, this had splitscreen co op, impressive aesthetic, and high replay value; only problem was it wasn't able to keep up with Overwatch which itself has saw a decline in the wake of Battle Royales. If you get the game now, I recommend couch co op or playing online with friends. I'd imagine the player base beyond that is largely dead.
