i came across this book at the start of the 10th grade school year when i asked a teacher if i could borrow a book to read for the semester for my english class, he gave me this. he said his friend wrote it and used to work here and even put his name in it, so i gave it a read. i didn’t expect to be literally bawling and mourning a character who wasn’t, yet at the same time is, real. i truly got attached to the main character and felt like i understood him in some way, especially his thought process. as the story got deeper, i knew there wasn’t a happy ending for someone like him, as much as i wanted to believe it. needless to say i was deeply connected to this book and its characters, the ending truly showed the reality of everything. loved it so much <3
