After reading this book, I felt like I was reading world without end again but few hundred years earlier. I didn't feel as if there was depth to the main characters. I prefer A column of fire. £25 for a book is expensive, feels like now it's just about making money not making fans happy. So so disappointed as have been looking forwards to reading the latest of the Kingsbridge series
