Repetitive, lacking rigour, factually debatable, and completely ignoring a number of technological and political developments that undermine the basis of the entire book’s logic.
A number of the books premises are already being disproven or contradicted since its release: the impacts of the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the CCP’s congress since the books release are not consistent with the author’s predictions.
Some key challenges brought by the author are valid but there are mitigations and counteractions to almost all of them.
It’s prediction porn that assumes that all the worst case scenarios will unfold one after the other and that the international system or the countries within it have not evolved since the 1800s.
I doubt the book will probably age well but it will cater to a global crowd of people seeking sensationalistic end-of-the-world-ish predictions.
This wouldn’t survive in rigorous academic circles.
