I love the look behind the kitchen doors. Bradley Cooper is a little flat at times and guilty melodrama at others. The repeated zooming in of the baby blues was blatant unnecessary pandering to woo a certain portion of the audience that was lost on me. Bradley’s up and down acting played well with the unstable mind of the addictive Chef character. The plot failed to explain well why or what prompted Chef to come back. Why now? Was never really answered and the viewer was left preoccupied with the confusion about the void. Did I miss something? Bradley’s Chef character’s emotional roller coaster was a bit drawn out and felt like an elongated character arc that missed its mark at several points. The forced over acting at the fall is aptly coupled with a highly predictable plot twist. It is finished off with a corny demiglazed redemption ending. All in all a highly entertaining corn popper if you’re into corny things. Enjoyed it one time watcher.
