I think the author treats a very serious topic in a very blasé manner. Anyone who has been confronted with an unplanned pregnancy or has struggled with infertility or has dealt with the decision to place a baby for adoption does so with a very heavy heart. Babies are not commodities to produce and sell off whenever convenient. I was offended by this book and would not have finished it except that it was chosen in my book club.
