I'm a southern Gothic scholar. This is the absolute worst example of an attempt of this genre I ever encountered. Using a tired Shakespeare parallel doesn't elevate writing. The author's complete disconnect from the culture is glaring. But....at least he isn't Trump's pick for VP.
