Full disclosure: I am not a frequent movie-goer so my opinion should be taken with a grain of salt. I've also been a fan of the Batman comics since I was a kid, so that probably has some impact on my opinion in one way or another.
Over-all, it's worth the watch. I'd put it on the higher end of 3 stars if I could. The cinematography, score and most actors are fairly solid within the context of this being a younger, less experienced Batman in a modernised setting.
That being said, the characterisation of the 2 lead roles leaves something to be desired in my opinion, and fell flat despite the 3 hour runtime being ample time to flesh out and develop as characters. Even during emotionally charged scenes, clearly written for the purpose of humanising our protagonists, the performance feels very dry. Granted, both Batman and Catwoman tend to ham up their personas in prior media, but with the raised stakes of the film should come raised tension.
The Riddler was straight up cringe-worthy though, I'm not even going to try to defend this. You're not the Joker dude, stop face-timing me to yell and laugh into the mic. It's obnoxious, not intimidating.
