The most mediocre game on the market. You'd think that would earn it a 3-star rating, but it's so boring that I have actually had more fun with objectively worse games. It's upsetting that people are so content to reward lazy, poorly made, boring games like this (from multi-million dollar companies mind you) when there are thousands of small teams with limited resources that make SIGNIFICANTLY more enjoyable experiences. And IGN had the audacity to give this an 8/10 (well, they give literally every game ever an 8/10 because game studios pay them off for favourable reviews, but still.) The performance and optimization of Legion is so poor I'm shocked they had the gall to pretend this was anything above a 4/10. If you enjoyed this more than any other game you've played this year, look at yourself in the mirror and ask; "Why?"

Full disclosure: I am not a frequent movie-goer so my opinion should be taken with a grain of salt. I've also been a fan of the Batman comics since I was a kid, so that probably has some impact on my opinion in one way or another. Over-all, it's worth the watch. I'd put it on the higher end of 3 stars if I could. The cinematography, score and most actors are fairly solid within the context of this being a younger, less experienced Batman in a modernised setting. That being said, the characterisation of the 2 lead roles leaves something to be desired in my opinion, and fell flat despite the 3 hour runtime being ample time to flesh out and develop as characters. Even during emotionally charged scenes, clearly written for the purpose of humanising our protagonists, the performance feels very dry. Granted, both Batman and Catwoman tend to ham up their personas in prior media, but with the raised stakes of the film should come raised tension. The Riddler was straight up cringe-worthy though, I'm not even going to try to defend this. You're not the Joker dude, stop face-timing me to yell and laugh into the mic. It's obnoxious, not intimidating.

This game tries to do a lot less than Yakuza 5 did, but what it does, it does very well. No extra playable characters, only 2 explorable cities, yet I still found it to be much more satisfying than 5 overall. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that I do feel like they could have tried a little harder in terms of adding new content and mini-games. The Dragon Engine is in use again for 6, but has yet to be updated and built upon to a satisfying degree, despite the wealth of missing features from games like 0. It has a lot of potential, and I'm excited to get into Like A Dragon, but for 6, its not quite there.
