I got this audiobook from my library, hoping to learn more about the Pleistocene epoch. I was disappointed, being unable to figure out WHAT points the authors were trying to make. I was already familiar with most of the facts mentioned. But many, many times I paused the audiobook and re-listened to parts, only to conclude that I really did not understand. Not because I couldn’t follow an argument but because I often could not find an argument. Very frustrating. Sometimes I got a strong whiff of post-modern writing and thinking. Ultimately too meta for me.
