In its day this was a terrifying mini series! If you're looking for vampires and gore, you'll be disappointed. The focus is on the characters development and the growing sense of dread in the community. There are vampires, of course, and Kurt Barlow is one of the best in the genre. Still genuinely frightening even 40+ years later. Up there with The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the Exorcist and the Shining for top 70s era horror.
