Awful exploration of how the middle-class introspective and entitled americanised world seeks meaning in society it otherwise considers backward and uncivilised. Misunderstanding of eastern culture does not mysticism or enlightenment make. Over privileged self-indulgent garbage which seems to appeal to young white females,like my 20 something daughter 🤔

Starts off ok, but descends into clichés and the random late entry of a former colleague ruins the whodunit middle section. Smith is appalling in representing a wild child lifestyle and then overcompensates by overacting with a plethora of meaningless facial expressions, gasps, shakes, eye fluttering and sideways glances. Just horrible to watch.

Started well. I like sci-fi and this was enticing as it appeared to deal with the near future prospects of going to Mars. After a couple of episodes it just became a drama about family dynamics and could have just as easily seen the Swank character going to a kibbutz or a tour in the army. Promises much but not really a Sci fi show. Rather watch Star Trek Discovery or Raised by Wolves than this feelgood yawn fest!
