Brilliant read. The characters are well-developed, intriguing, yet diverse and gel in a way that keeps the reader hooked. For me, the real clincher was Joyce's first-person chapters. Osman's humour is scattered liberally throughout the book (and the series) as the four geriatric sleuths set about solving each murder mystery.
If, like me, you're not a fan of true "crime" novels, you'll find this one left of field in a genre of its own.
