Good points. Visually spectacular, where CGI takes a back seat for big set pieces. The leads are great, especially Kenneth Branagh, who chews the scenery.
Bad Points - BLARMM!! It’s effective, but over used here to the point of distraction. It’s very very loud and even the score covers the dialogue, which in a film like this, is much needed. Finally, the plot. I’m no village idiot, but I really needed Joseph Gordon Levitt’s exposition here like he did in Inception. I also missed his regulars, Tom Hardy, JGL etc. At least Michael Caine turned up.
Overall. One to watch at the cinema, but needs a few viewing with the volume turned down.
