I was sooooo excited to see this because I love Josh Hartnett. But boy was I disappointed 😞 The movie had such promise, and the premise was good, but it unfortunately never took flight and fell flat. What a waste of what could've been a great story

ABSOLUTELY WELL MADE MOVIE! Combines romance, comedy, action, drama and suspense all in one. Loved our so much that I would call it a masterpiece. It's like the making of a movie in a movie - never seen anything like it before.

I would recommend watching the original instead of wasting your time with the live action. The added songs were not enjoyable, expecially scuttle butt... I do not like how flounder is flat and is not very vibrant like in the original. King Triton looked and sounded like an AI, he hardly showed any facial expression throughout the movie. Ariels outfit was not cute and stayed the same for all 3 days. When Triton turned her back into a human she wore the same dress that was ripped in the ocean and that she had been wearing for the previous days. Dissapointing. Sebastian's accent was on and off and sometimes didn't even sound Jamaican/Caribbean. I am so so dissapointed. I have loved this movie for so long and was happy to hear that a live action was being made. But now I wish it never was. The movie was very long and pretty boring at times. Halle is a good singer but her acting isn't the best. A waste of 2+ hours and I will definitely not watch it again. Save your money and time. Stay away from this movie.
