Think of making a billion dollar movie, but you use the same villains from the first movie. They travel literally across the universe (don’t show any of it), using multi trillions of dollars in equipment/space craft etc, to murder whales for $80million a pop (makes no financial sense whatsoever). The main story line is a team of marines from the first movie, that upload their consciousness into avatars in order to murder Jake Sully who decided to live with the avatars and start a family. They give almost no additional backstory on the whale killing/what earth is like, why they are on pandora etc, it’s just not very good. This visual aspect of the movie was nice, the story line was written by a bunch of 13 year olds in their first creative writing class.
