The reason I rated this series four stars instead of five is that it seems like every show today feels compelled to include a quota of diversity, often in a very noticeable way. There are five aspects that seem to be included for this purpose. However, the reason they succeed here is that the cast is genuinely talented, and everyone delivers strong performances. In particular, Emma Myers, who plays the main character Pippa, is outstanding. The acting and storyline are both solid, though I believe the series would have been better as a four-part show.
Moving forward, if series creators want to keep their audience engaged, they should focus on delivering compelling "whodunnit" murder mysteries without the overt inclusion of elements like a Pride Flag, which in this case, feels like it was placed by a set designer with an agenda, rather than serving the story organically.
