The story takes off nicely, but it does not fully convey the complexity of any character's motivations. There are numerous gaps in the story that make it a "mystery thriller". For a crime thriller novel, the climax and conclusion were also readily predicted. I had high hopes and expectations going into the film, but by the time it was over, I felt empty, unfinished, and disappointed.
