This is a film that deeply explores race relations and the perceptions that different racial groups have of each other in America. Satirical depictions of such sensitive topics often challenge societal norms and make people uncomfortable by forcing them to confront difficult truths. Films like this can be powerful in sparking conversation and awareness about systemic racism, implicit biases, and the struggles for identity and acceptance. Unfortunately, such films often face resistance when it comes to mainstream distribution because they challenge the status quo, which can make certain audiences uncomfortable. As a result, many of these films get limited releases or are shown primarily on streaming platforms. I believe this truly limits their exposure to a broader audience that might benefit from seeing such a film.
