I really liked it. Even if I was never to see Part Two, Part One was fulfilling to me. I enjoyed dropping in and out of the different storylines. I loved seeing the Old West, the indians, the military, the wagon trains, the scenery. There were intense scenes, nuggets of wisdom, lots of characters. The Old West was dangerous! Hayes - the hero had a blossoming love story, a tired demeanor. The movie felt grand and epic. Sometimes I have trouble getting into movies, but this one interested me. The music was good. I just liked feeling like I was there and how it must have felt to see Indian scouts up on the ledge as your wagon train passed through their land. And I do want to see Part Two.
