While the show was entertaining, and definitely drew us in, calling it a parody, or even satire, just didn’t ring true. It’s was NOT a well done parody and came closer to being satire, but even that is a misnomer. There were comic elements, but they were not set up in such a way as to make the viewer laugh. Instead, murders made us uncomfortable, and we became genuinely concerned for the mental health of Kristen Bell’s character. It wasn’t until the end that one of the actresses and the director, nailed the satire. By then, however, it seemed ill-advised and felt very out of place. Watch it. It’s not a bad show. However, I’d you think you’re going to laugh your arse off, you may be disappointed.
