Pakistani dramas are generally nice and has nuanced script, some excellent quality acting, however this drama failed to impress me on many folds... Saman is a spoilt brat as shown, she is not only rude but a completely black character , no shades , it isn't relatable at all. This should have been toned down a little, this is where the writer/director falters, moreover the goodness of Aiman was projected a little too much, unnecessarily, no one can remain such distant from any kind of self respect, her character dint have any.. The overtly exaggerated goodness of a character looked seemingly unnatural.
A child like Saman should have been shut off ,schooled, disciplined right from school. The mothers character brings forth more trouble , not taking a stand on any matter. Also , Aiman could have easily moved away from this mess rather she stayed on to get brickbats all her life, this isn't defeat or Maat ,this is sheer inability to keep one's self respect and ones identity intact. I would rather recommend dramas such as Zindagi Gulzar hain which is near to perfect... Humsafar is a good one though there were many other means through which Mahira could have connected Fawad khan and put an end to the mother in laws cheap tactics... Man Mayal is also another good one, also Durr e shehwar. These are ones I couldn't find any major flaws..while presenting the story .
