She can see through time because she learned the alien's language, which allows them to see through time. Unbelievably terrible payoff Avoid this stinker. One of the last lines of the movie is "Do you want to make a baby?" Horrendous from start to finish. Nobody should like this one. "The Happening" was the worst movie I'd ever seen before today. Now "Arrival" takes that spot. The dialogue is terrible. The lady says "Now you see my point" but she never even started or made a point. The acting is often clunky, especially the General's. It uses extremely overused plot points. Reluctant hero who doesn't want to be involved at first but is plucked in by a major player. Is yelled at often by the guy who brought her in. Horrible. Just horrible.
