It would be great if the announcers would just shut up and let us watch the game. Play-by-play is great, but we don't need 3 hours of mindless blather while we're trying to watch a game. And that's not just MNF, that's the televised sport of football as a whole. Take a hint from the stadium announcers and local sports radio crews. LESS IS MORE! In fact, the best way to enjoy the game is to turn off the volume and turn on your favorite team's radio station for the play-by-play.
