Okayish, good attempt but failed to impress readers. It was a good attempt but too many cringe scenes and lag in the book which grosses the readers out. The story of the book is weak and revolves around two brothers and their families. There is too much stupidity. As the book progressed, cringe emerges and the author expects that the reader will be engaged and l will agree that 40 percent of the book was well written but later it is stupid. The theme of the book was average but not many life lessons. The book should connect to the readers but it instead bores them. I still gave this book a 2/5 but it should be 2.5 because it was a good attempt but backfired unfortunately.

MY REVIEW: SOLID 2/5. A book that is not good or bad. This book is full of dullness and trash. There are many lessons and themes about the time period but full of boringness. The author needs to learn to engage the readers. I bought this 10-dollar book for some messy book. The book goes in all directions. I expected more from John Steinbeck knowing he is a fantastic author and l got the courage to buy this book because of her. Never expected that this book would be so bad
