I think the people who say this was a boring or uninteresting movie are having a hard time identifying with the characters. If you don't (or didn't) have this experience growing up - on either side of the coin - then it won't mean much to you and yes, it will seem stupid. But for those of us who have BEEN either the Black Prince (in my case) or the Wolf Girl (several girls who came in and out of my life at that time), we will totally get the plot and it's many hidden, unspoken realities of dating in those circumstances. It's not an A-list movie, to be sure, but it will keep you entertained and at times make you laugh, make you cry, and keep hoping that in the end these kids work out their differences so they can stay together - because, when all is said and done, they really DO care about each other (yes, the Black Prince does have feelings too!). I'm feeling it - I hope you can too....only then will it mean anything to you. PS: if you can visit Venus Terrace, you should - it's a great place!!
