I finally watched the tv series. I wish I did not I have read all five books of the game of thrones some years ago . I was hooked to the novel so much that I finished all of them in a very short time.I kept checking the internet to see when would the final chapter see the light. It seems that this will not happen . The author seems not interested in finishing what he started, I could not understand why especially if he is actually the one who wrote the first five ??? Years elapsed with promises yet nothing, so what would one expects or thinks ?? . Is the real author capable of finishing the story ? , is he dead ? if neither then he lacks respect to the readers and to his profession!! I am really disappointed. I wish I did not read the books Knowing that the last book is not going to see the light , and to satisfy my curiosity, I finally decided to watch the tv series : The first 6 seasons and some parts of the 7th were so good compared to the books ,to the point that I thought I have had seen some of it before!! . One thing though, it would have been a lot better with less pornography, the story telling was good it did not need adult attractions, it was so explicit and indecent . The rest of the 7th and the 8th seasons were not to the standard of the previous ones, it looks that so many events and activities were cramped together as if they want to finish the series fast . . The grand finale was so bad and unexpected . It did not match the standard good story telling that was in the books , on top of that it gave hints of a possible tv series continuation if someone decided .
