I was 10 years old when I saw Bhargavi Nilayam for the first time. Have seen it a few more times as years went by. This version, although in colour, and a more or less a true copy, has some changes for the better and for the worse. The unnecessary music trying to scare you along with the sound effects lowered the surprise element. The nature sounds can be kept without the jarring music. Dialogues were also very minimal and predictive. No comedy interludes. Songs were cut. Romance itself was shown minimal and full of unnecessary melancholy. Anyway it is still a good experience but could have been much better.
