I just seen the movie, dubbed in Tamil. As far as my knowledge, the movie all prices for the Rajputs and were shown as sincere, courageous and rich in culture. And the Mughal rulers as crude, cunning and womanizers. And to an extent it glorified 'the now banned ancient ritual' by showing it as an courageous and strategic move my women.
Now about the protests by right wing organization in support of Rajput's pride, in my view is a well planned strategy in anticipation of a protests from left, reformists and 'secular intellectuals' in support of minorities.
The plan well executed as the movie attracted big crowds even in southern states, particularly the 'anti establishment' minded audiences also. It highlights the needs to make changes in Indian history books
