The movie was too busy. I feel like it was trying to pack too much into the one story. It should have been more direct, instead it had multiple antagonist which took the story in too many directions. They had, a German antagonist prince in a warfare submarine (who I’m still not entirely sure why cared about the goal), a group of undead ancient conquistadors who are not only cursed but somehow double cursed, a powerful man who the protagonist is in debt to, and not to mention a head hunter to kidnap and deliver the other protagonist. It seems they had so many different ideas on how the movie should go but they couldn’t pick one therefore creating a mess of a movie that just wasn’t well executed. I am sad and disappointed because I thought that the jungle cruise had so much potential to be an outstanding movie. But again it was just too all over the place.
