The Agency is ideal for espionage savvy viewers willing to pay attention to the crisp dialogue and be patient for events to unfold - the plot, sub-plots and character development take its time. The show has a foreboding feel to it and the art in it persuasively imitates life in a dangerous world as we know it. The show certainly made me think about current geopolitical events. Well crafted and worth returning to each week.
Fassbender is well cast for Agent Martian - his intellect shines through in the script, and he is ably supported by strong cast mates. Gere as station chief is perfectly dominant and expectant in his charges as one would hope would be the case in our intelligence services. Kudos to the consulting on Agency life.
