This book is well written. It explains the Traditional Iranian city in terms of Heidegger's concept of phenomenology and the Genius Loci. Both are important concepts in the understanding of the spirit of the traditional city and the changes brought about by Modernism.
It paves the way for conceptualising a future city - holistically.
