How did I miss this film first time around? I always enjoy everything that Jai Courtney and Lily James Star in, but they push the envelope here with full frontal nudity and an undeniable chemistry in their scenes together. James is the Allied spy and secret Jewess, Courtney is the Nazi soldier, torn between duty and morality. Their virtual “love at first sight” is handled with humor and eroticism and is wholly believable. Christopher Plummer ties the stories together as the deposed king, longing for a second chance with a misguided belief that he could temper the Nazi atrocities. One of the best films I’ve seen in years.
