Peter Midgley

Excellent book. The Wee men, who are tiny little blue people, vaguely resemble an older Scottish race. They love mischief, fighting and drinking. A very funny story from a fantasy flat world where magic is an everyday occurrence performed by witches who are proud of their pointy hats and are very closely related to modern Midwives and District nurses. Storyline seems based in fantasy/history/modern times mixture. If read with an open mind the whole Discworld series are a very enjoyable escapist read.
