Would have been better if they’d omitted trans-phobic Derick Dillard from the narrative. He didn’t add anything to the series (he’s tangential to the story at best), and it feels like he was just there so Jenna Duggar would participate. His presence while she sits there and says that vulnerable people need protection is laughable after what he said in 2017 and then his “apology” where he told people to “get over it.” The producers must know about his history (he was fired from TLC), so why does he get this platform? You do feel for the kids who grew up in IBLP and this is an important story. Just leave out the haters next time.
