I watched it with scepticism. I watched knowing it's a reboot of a cult classic. I believe the director was told to do the film but not get too close to the original. The film just struggles to make sense of itself. The story is patchwork. Even felt as if the actors knew it wouldn't be good. It stood no chance against a cult classic film. It was destined to fail and I think they knew that from day one.
