I can't say this show is good, but I started watching it and was drawn to continue watching it to the end. (I've seen open water, so that's not saying much).
It really is a smorgasbord of been there done that. It seems like the writers are fans of the 100, star trek, alien series, starship troopers, even 2001, the sphere and the arrival. Mental psyche and dream or real scenes intermixed.
The cast acts at about a high school level; but honestly it seems intentional. Even if it wasn't, the writing forces it to be so.
All in all I enjoyed watching it to pass the time and ultimately see where the story went, but I can't say I appreciate my money going to originals if they are going to be cheesy, Netflix can do better. I would expect Katee Sackhoff could too, I liked William (Samuel Anderson) as well, imho they made the show consumable.
