Only 2 episodes in and for starters the casting left a lot to be desired. Tony Yazbek as Coach Meyer is the only one so far that has nailed it. Also VERY disappointed that his RUMORED sexuality is being exploited in such a way. There was so much more complexity to his life than that rumor and so far the first 2 episodes are either showing it or eluding to it, at every turn. There are better ways to tell his story than by making his life be centered around him hiding his supposed homosexualality. I find the whole thing in very poor taste. I usually like Ryan Murphy projects but this is a hard pass for me.

The actors did their absolute best with the content they were given. The story dragged. This is a heart breaking story that could have been told in 3 episodes. So much of it in my opinion was boring and not necessary. If the depictions are accurate these kids were extremely disturbed (victim included) who needed therapy but we didn't need 8 episodes to explain that. Tell what happened, take an episide to explain backgrounds, and take 1 episode to tell the outcome.
