I can't give zero stars to this movie, otherwise I would. A very inaccurate, propagandistic and insultive movie. Vlad the Impaler was a very loved leader in Wallachia and he is also today a symbol of fighting against foreign intruders, kidnappers, thieves, killers etc. He had to grew up to the court of the ottoman emperor, along with his brother, because Wallachia was under the ottoman suzerainty, so as a consequence of the tribute that his father had to pay, him and his brother, were held hostages by the Sultan. There is where he learned about cruelty and injustice and also about the ottoman habits, which he later used against them to DEFEND Wallachia. He was merciless just against the bad people like the ones already mentioned above. He never attacked other people territories, never killed innocents or kidnapped children to raise at his court. Wallachia was back a small territory and also under the suzerainty of the Ottoman Empire so portraying Vlad a bloody tyrant who wanted to conquer the "world" is INCREDIBLY ABSURD AND STUPID. Romanians during the history had wars for defense, fighting to defend the country, not to enslave others.
