I enjoyed the book and for the shocking twist at the end but I agree, there were a lot of holes in the plot. As someone who does not know the exact legal process for a homicide case, I didn’t notice nor care for the messines in the way the author went about all that as other reviewers complained about.
SPOILER:
For example, why did Bob privately try to convince Sarah he had no involvement and go into explaining his alibi when they planned that together? How did Adam wake up and drive home after being drugged and not see that she was stabbed to death with her eyes open? He got close to her because he set the alarm on her phone and left her phone next to her.
Most of all we got Sarah’s private thoughts of her entire reaction to him being arrested and debating weather or not she should help him. She even thought that although he is a cheater, he doesn’t deserve to die for something he didn’t do.
Maybe I have to go back and reread a third time because I’m so confused.
