Awesome game with really good gameplay and music. Only downside is that the graphics have not aged very well. I would personally go with the Saturn version because the graphics are slightly better. The PSX version however is slightly cheaper.

This game is difficult but not impossible to beat, has amazing parallax scrolling and headbanging metal music to keep the adrenaline going. This game actually pushed the Sega Megadrive to its limit in every aspect. That being said it does have some slowdown due to what it did to the Megadrive hardware. All in all this is simply one the best 2d shmups if not the best.

Amazing visuals and music. Fantastic gameplay. My only complaint is that its very easy compared to most shmups. Other than that, its a good game.
