Very disappointed. I was so excited to see this film today as having been a fan since viewing in sheer terror the first Alien movie. Just the trailer was scary - In space, no one can hear you scream - in letters across a soundless screen. Aliens2 was even better. I just rewatched those two, plus Aliens3 and Prometheus. I never cared much for Alien Resurrection and only saw Alien Covenant once. This film could’ve been SO good, instead it’s a rip-off of characters, prior lines and many plot holes. If you’ve never seen any of the other films, you won’t know the difference and may enjoy this film. Sure as hell isn’t a good start to a potential reboot for any Alien fans.
