I think Mulan is one of the most underrated live actions Disney has made. Personally I think they nailed it! It was everything an adult fan could ask for. Some are upset by mushu’s character and the cricket not having a role, but I think when you understand that this is a serious drama/action adaptation it was necessary to remove the comedy that those characters added. They added so many additions to her character and the script that really elevated the entire film as well. I loved the chi that she had within her and the sorceress who was similar to her. It’s a 10/10 for me. I have been disappointed with some live actions before because they took the exact script from the original and just used real people, which I feel like is a waste.. that is definitely not what they did with this movie and they still did her justice.
