The first season was so promising. Then they killed of Sidney and seasons 2 and 3 were just *meh*. The writing and character/story development were below the standard Andrew Davies set in season 1. There was also very little chemistry and the ending was trite and washed out. All on the writers as the actors are all exceptional.
