I can't explain the emotions this book makes you go through, The Agony of Bun O'Keefe makes sets you off in a journey of hope, distress, happiness and sorrow as the book skilfully navigates and illustrates the struggles and issues of modern society through a variety of lovable characters. Heather Smith writes each and every character extremely well, I found myself falling in love with the realism of every character, my favourite being Chef, the characters are so skilfully written they all have their own inner turmoil, morals and personality that are all fleshed out to a perfect point. Smith allows the readers to view the story from the eyes of Bun O'Keefe, as Bun discovers more and more about the real world and her own world, we do as well, also giving us an insight on her past. The whole book is so beautiful and tugs at your heart stings at times, other times making you smile more than ever, it is a emotional journey that will attract any reader with its special charm.
