It's honestly just bad, the cgi is chunky, you never really know what's going on on the screen. And the writing sucks, the writer should not be in charge of the future of kangs story, and should be immediately fired. Even the writers response to the bad reviews is cringe beyond cringe. He seems to want to take it as a lesson learned. When he should realize, that he is adding to Disney's increasingly worse reputation.
